Each product in the Fibreliner range is designed for a different job:
Fibreliner Smooth (approx 150gsm) is calendered twice to create an exceptionally smooth surface, giving a refined, high-quality finish that allows paint to be applied quickly and efficiently, with less paint absorption. It has become a popular choice with discerning professional decorators looking for a consistently smooth result.
Fibreliner Original (approx. 165gsm) has a more natural, subtly fibrous surface, giving walls a softer and more characterful appearance. This can make it particularly well suited to period properties, where an immaculate, perfectly smooth wall is not always desirable. The result is a warmer, more sympathetic finish that retains some of the character of the property.
Fibreliner Ultracover 210 (210gsm) is the thickest and heaviest paste-the-wall lining paper in the range, and the natural hardworking problem-solver — an excellent choice for covering surface imperfections, small cracks, and less-than-perfect walls, providing a much smoother surface ready for decoration. It's also the best Fibreliner to overlay on Wallrock Thermal Liner or KV600, as its extra weight covers joints better and gives a more uniform finish.
In short: Smooth for the refined professional finish, Original for a natural characterful surface, and UltraCover 210 for the hardest-working coverage. All three are paste-the-wall, breathable, PVC-free, and dry strippable.
